The 19 year old Bukayo Saka is a fortunate youngster to be called for England national for last Thursday’s friendly against Wales.
Arsenal midfield player was included in the starting line up. It was the second Arsenal academy graduate to earn the first cap this year after Ainsley Maitland-Niles.
For Saka it’s a huge experience to be part of a 3-0 victory at the Wembley stadium representing his country.
” Wearing the shirt on was a very special moment for me. When I put it on before the start of the game I remembered the days I put it on in the youth team, but this was different, very special for me.To play in front of the Wembley Stadium, there is no fans but with high quality players, in front of the manager was special”.
The game was different from club football and the intensity of playing for the country was high.
I’m wasn’t familiar with my new teammates and as the match progressed my confidence grew. Believe I could have scored a goal in the second half. I’m happy with the performance, I have to improve a lot, I will take belief from this match.
When the game was moving on in the first half I felt that the left side was empty with the ball mostly, the right side got much priority. With the second-half performance, I’m happy to bring changes to the left and I enjoyed it a lot.
From now onwards I just have to try to play my best and impress the boss.It was my another dream that come true and I hope it can be the first of many.
